Early report of Seyaj: Eight children killed, wounded in presidential elections

The early statistics collected by the monitor teams of Syaj Organization for Childhood Protection has said that eight children were killed and wounded during the presidential elections held Tuesday in Yemen.
They pointed out that seven children were killed and wounded in the governorates of Aden, Lahj and Hadhramout in the election day, Feb. 21, while a child was killed as armed men assaulted a polling station in the governorate of Dhala'a in the mid of Feb.
The casualties were fell during confrontations between security forces and armed men who assaulted polling stations and attempted to prevent the voters from reaching them.
According to Seyaj teams that monitor and document violations against children, three children were wounded by live bullets.
Seyaj is still investigating and follow up details of killing three children including female child was killed close to a Kindergarten in the province of Lahj.
