
Sana'a: Inauguration of Seyaj Organization's First Forum Activities

The first annual forum of Seyaj's officials, coordinators and voluntary teams across all governorates was launched Sunday in Sana'a.
During the inauguration of the forum held on the organization's headquarters in the period 29-31 January, chief of Seyaj, Ahmed Al-Gorashi, affirmed that the forum is designed to enhance capacities of Seyaj's staff in governorates, and giving them information about the correct ways of monitoring and contacting social classes.
"Seyaj could make tangible difference in servicing child victims of violence through tackling with child cases that were not covered before. These cases are serious violations against childhood such as child recruitment, child marriage and child trafficking. Seyaj also supports children with judicial advocacy and other direct aids," said Al-Gorashi.
"It further managed through its staff to reach vast social groups, promoted many concepts and principles in the field of child rights via various tools. Its success was witnessed by international concerned organizations and authorities."
"We do best to make this annual meeting that will be held next year in one of Seyaj's branches of the governorates" he said."This forum would be annual conference in which all employees of the organization, field teams and volunteers will meet."
According to the schedule of the annual meeting, two lectures would be delivered by Gorge Abu Al-Zulof, Yoko Sawa of the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) on violations of child rights under the Yemeni and international law, support of judicial advocacy of crime victims as well as violations and principles of monitoring and documentation of violations against child rights during armed disputes.
Seyaj's three-day activities would include award ceremony for the organization activists and UNICEF.
