Dr.Abu Baker Al-Qirbi, the Minister of Foreign Affairs expressed the Ministry’s readiness
to provide a direct assistance to the child Sohail Ali Abdullah Saleh Al-Mahdi (8 years old)
who is detained with his father as hostages at a hospital in India for the rest of the treatment’s money.

Seyaj organization for childhood protection has directed today two letters to Ministry of Health
and Ministry of Foreign regarding the detention of a Yemeni child and his father as hostages
in a hospital in India because the father could not pay the costs of treatment.

Based on the field reports of the Emergency Cell in Seyaj
24 children have been killed and several hundred have sustained injuries during a month and a half in the protests in Yemen
and UNICEF is alarmed
"This is extremely alarming”, said Geert Cappelaere, representative of UNICEF
Yemen. “I am gravely concerned about this escalation of violence, especially with
regards to the number of child casualties, which keeps increasing from week to week."
