Seyaj

Seyaj organization for childhood protection is a non-profit volunteering and independent non-government organization which is specialized in defending child rights through monitoring, documentation and providing judicial advocacy for child victims of crimes and violations.

It covers five governorates from its five branches; the main headquarters in Sana’a and other four branches in Aden, Taiz, Hadhramout and Haradh. It has outstanding teams of volunteers.  

It operates in accordance with the government’s national strategy on childhood and youth, adopts the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child (UNCRC) and Yemen’s legalizations as a theoretical reference and seeks to achieve its goals through quantum programs and projects that enables children to enjoy all their rights.

Objectives:

1-Contribution in providing children with safe and stable environment 

2- Standing against all what could affect on children physically or psychologically.

3-Strengthening efforts of child rights defenders nationally and internationally.  

4-Seeking to create a community that defend child rights and their interests.

* Seyaj  is an Arabic word that means a fence surrounding and protecting a house, ground and etc.
